AGOURA HILLS, Los Angeles County — October 26, 2026. Readers in Agoura Hills have a special literary evening scheduled for Friday, November 6, 2026. The city’s annual One City, One Book program has selected the novel Atmosphere by author Taylor Jenkins Reid, and the municipality is organizing an in-person conversation and book signing at its Recreation and Event Center.
Date, location and admission
According to the ticket page published by the City of Agoura Hills, the author program is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. on November 6 at the Agoura Hills Recreation and Event Center, 29900 Ladyface Court. Doors are scheduled to open at 5 p.m. Admission is listed as free, but the city requires an advance RSVP.
When California58 reviewed available listings, at least one ticket listing showed the event as sold out. Readers should not assume that a free event means seats remain available. Check the official organizer listing for any cancellation, waitlist or new tickets before planning to attend.
What is One City, One Book?
The annual community-reading initiative encourages residents to share a book and discuss its themes together. This year’s selection is Atmosphere. The city’s November appearance gives participants a chance to hear directly from the author, ask questions if the program allows and connect with local readers.
What to expect at the event
The city’s announcement describes light refreshments before the program and a book-signing opportunity. Books are expected to be offered for purchase, but participants may also bring their own copies. Support from the Friends of the Agoura Hills Library is acknowledged on the organizer page.
Because admission, capacity and signing procedures can change, the city’s current event listing is the best source for late updates. A book-signing announcement is not a promise that every attendee will have time for a personal conversation.
